Harmons Art: Bakery
The Bakery had Tiramisu as the Pastry of the Week for over a month... In order to rectify that I tried to give them a reason to look forward to a new sign more often...

Harmons Art: Chef's Pick of the Week
These signs graced the vicinity of the deli, one in the vicinity of the warming lamps and the other that of the salads. The top of each sign was conceived early by yours truly, then each week I'd wipe off the bottom and render the new sale item.
Early signs:
Chef's Pick of the Nose... no, seriously; nobody knew who "Ben" was... I changed the titles on top of these.

Stay tuned for the sweet stuff for the Bakery!

Harmons Art: Boar's Head area signage
Harmons Art: Foodie Requests
The Foodie Queen (whose sign you'll see later) and I developed a rapport that mostly allowed me to go too far with these. Enjoy.

This might have looked sumptuous if it weren't for the tragedy that is yellow sintra(sp?) (the color of the "chalkboard").

This was still before I was looking up fonts. I wanted something that felt tropical, like Disney's Tiki Room, but without the intellectual copyright violation. Check out the texture on those chips!
Following is a series of signs done in the early, early days (of not so long ago, I guess)

Getting more refined here...

And a detail shot...
Following is some work that's pretty much right before I left, and you may notice a difference... For one they're really sharp at this point, but also, the text is pretty stupid. That happened because our respected Foodie Queen just wrote the text as a suggestion (e.g., under fish we have Salmon, FISH, and Shrimp, under Produce we have the limiting Salsa and Guacamole), but did not clarify that it was meant to suggest images, not to be included as text. Because she was not specific, my right-brained self just kept a' goin' on, until my left hemisphere kicked in. Alas, it was too late.

The last before leaving:

Next up, the Tower of Terror!

Harmons art part ii The Cheeses!
The Cheese Island was just too much fun...

The request was for "President's" Brie... Pffft. As if.

My first real "painting" with the incredibly annoying liquid chalk

More Point Reyes with a lot more finesse... Herein began my obsession with detailed liquid chalk work... heaven help us all.

Never ask me to render something with "cave" in it without actually inserting a cave. Oh that I had snuck Batman in there somewhere.

A sign for the local cheese...
